Palace Concerts presents a year-long programme of cultural entertainment across the historic Corinthia Palace, from the neoclassical grandeur of Villa Corinthia to the enchanting Secret Garden, nostalgic poolside setting and supper-club atmosphere of the Corinthia ballroom. Curated performances by leading Maltese and international musicians promise a season of chamber music, solo recitals and themed concerts, complemented by the fine gastronomy of Chef Francesco Mazzei.

Two Clarinet Quintets: Virtuosity and Intimacy

Few instruments possess the clarinet’s unique blend of warmth, agility, and expressive depth. Its voice can be velvety and intimate one moment, brilliant and virtuosic the next. In this special concert, Michael Pantalleresco, one of Malta’s leading clarinettists, joins a distinguished string ensemble to perform two of the greatest works ever written for the instrument: the clarinet quintets by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Carl Maria von Weber.

These masterpieces reveal the clarinet at its most poetic and soulful.

Set within the intimate surroundings of Villa Corinthia, this concert invites listeners to experience the clarinet’s expressive world up close, in music that feels both timeless and deeply human.

€70 - price includes concert at Villa Corinthia followed by a standing buffet reception by Chef Francesco Mazzei, free-flowing wines and other beverages.
