We Develop

Corinthia Developments International (CDI) is a business that also comes under the IHI umbrella. Its purpose is to source and execute hotel and real estate acquisition opportunities, and to carry forward projects on IHI’s own balance sheet or on behalf of investors worldwide. It handles every aspect of such acquisitions including negotiations with vendors, sourcing the necessary funds, undertaking legal, financial and environmental due diligence, coordinating professional consultants, and ultimately managing everything on site to ensure the delivery of another outstanding Corinthia product.

Corinthia Budapest

One of the company’s biggest success stories in terms of development, Corinthia Budapest originally opened as the Grand Hotel Royal in 1896. This was once a see-and-be-seen destination which attracted an aristocratic crowd.

After the hotel fell into disrepair, Corinthia took on the project in 2000, restoring the façade and interiors with a €100 million renovation. Corinthia worked alongside local authorities and tradesmen to ensure the building was restored in a way that respected its heritage.

Corinthia London

Acquired from The Crown Estate, this grand building was previously Hotel Metropole and more notably, even Sir Winston Churchill’s office. Under Corinthia command, it was transformed into a grand 21st-century hotel. Guests were soundly sleeping in the rooms of Corinthia London just 23 months from the appointment of the general contractor.

And since its opening in 2011, it has established itself as a leader in London's luxury hotel market. As well as being a successful hotel, the residences form part of the Corinthia London complex, and they have achieved record selling rates per square foot for this location.

Corinthia St Petersburg

The city's best positioned hotel, located on the famous Nevskij boulevard which is an iconic road that cuts through the historical centre of this UNESCO World Heritage city. 

Originally two adjoining 18th-century palaces, that later fell into disrepair, Corinthia took on the ambitious project to retain the historic structure as much as possible but at the same time completely transform its appearance.

Today it stands as a proud landmark in the city.
