The 16-story building will boast 70 guest rooms, 34 suites and 14 residences, which draw inspiration from the hotel's illustrious history and surroundings. Signature suites will be inspired by the bridges of Central Park, with sublime comfort and spectacular elegance at its core. Corinthia Hotels has announced a management agreement with the Reuben Brothers to operate the former Surrey Hotel. The famed property will undergo an extensive renovation, slated to open in late 2023.
“Having a presence in the United States has always been a goal for Corinthia Hotels, especially in New York, a city that I consider one of the most vibrant and exciting places in the world” stated Simon Naudi, CEO of Corinthia Hotels. “We look forward to working closely with the Reuben Brothers to restore the hotel to its former glory just in time for its 100th anniversary and to play a role in helping rebuild Manhattan’s hospitality industry after this most difficult time.”
