Corinthia Budapest is seeking an ambitious, dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Front Office Manager to maintain exceptional levels of service and guest satisfaction.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Maintain clear and effective communication within the department, ensuring the Front Desk Manager is promptly informed of any issues or queries
  • Report any problems or guest complaints to the Front Office Manager in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure all Front Office areas are adequately staffed and that team members are fully trained to meet the standards expected by the hotel and the company
  • Uphold hotel security protocols, promote the safety of staff and guests, and ensure adherence to safe cash-handling practices
  • Address guest feedback or concerns - whether received directly or via the Front Office Manager, Duty Manager, Rooms Division Manager, General Manager, or other Heads of Department promptly, efficiently and with courtesy 
  • Greet guests and clients warmly, fostering a positive and professional rapport with both guests and colleagues
  • Oversee the smooth, efficient, and continuous operation of the Front Office on a 24-hour basis
  • Ensure completion of daily operational checklists, offering assistance to the team as needed to maintain service standards
  • Collaborate with the Reservations Office to confirm consistent correspondence checks are performed
  • Work closely with Guest Relations and Duty Managers to manage VIP guest arrangements, including allocations, amenities and personal greetings
  • Update all relevant client records with any incidents documented in the Duty Manager’s logbook
  • Take a proactive approach to Front Office operations, identifying and acting on opportunities to enhance guest experience and departmental efficiency

The ideal candidate

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel in a similar field
  • College/university degree in relevant field
  • Proficient command of English and Hungarian, any other language knowledge is advantageous
  • Digital literacy with Opera/Hostware hotel system knowledge
  • Professional self & corporate representation
