At Corinthia Budapest, the best stories begin at the concierge desk. This is where plans take shape, last minute ideas turn into memorable evenings and the city quietly opens up in all the right ways. Krisztina, Dominik and Zsombor are the ones behind it - part insiders, part problem solvers and always one step ahead.

Dominik’s approach is simple: “I treat every guest exactly as I would want to be treated when I'm far from home.”

No unnecessary fuss, no theatrics, just instinctive care. It is a philosophy that proved itself during one of the city’s more complex weekends. When Pope Francis visited Budapest in 2023, road closures turned even the shortest journeys into a logistical challenge. At the same time, the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra was staying at the hotel. Transfers were reworked, routes reimagined and timings carefully coordinated with local authorities. “The aim was simple,” Dominik recalls. “To ensure everything ran smoothly, despite the disruption.” The result? Not a single missed moment. On their final day, the orchestra gathered in the lobby to applaud him - an unscripted thank you that said everything.

It is a moment he values deeply. But for Dominik, what matters just as much is what follows. “It is when guests return smiling, with a story to tell. That is when you know you got it right.”

If you ask Krisztina, the perfect evening in Budapest comes with a view and a sense of atmosphere. “You can't go wrong with a candlelit dinner cruise,” she says. “The Danube does the storytelling and the city takes care of the rest.”

Her style is attentive, resourceful and just playful enough to put guests instantly at ease. She has a habit of sending people off with a “have a lovely day” in their own language, whether Spanish, Portuguese or German.

Her advice is simple: “Bring comfortable shoes as Budapest rewards those who wander.” And one more essential: “Do not forget your swimwear. The thermal baths are not to be missed.”

Zsombor is at his best when things become complex. Group itineraries, layered requests, moving parts - this is where he thrives. “There is something satisfying about bringing everything together seamlessly,” he says. “It is about understanding what each guest needs, then making it all feel effortless. It should never feel complicated from the guest’s perspective,” he adds. “That is our role."
