It's Picture-Perfect
There’s a reason that the Blue Lagoon is often referred to as one of the most beautiful spots in Malta. The combination of rugged cliffs, blissful blue skies and azure waters is pretty special. If you’re looking to get good photographs before the crowds begin to populate the island, you’ll have to be sure to get an early ferry – but more about transport later on.
The Waters Are Crystal Clear
The shallow waters off the coast of Comino are clear enough to rival those of the Caribbean. Meaning that it’s an ideal place for swimming and snorkelling. You can expect to see an array of colourful fish when you explore Malta’s underwater beauty.
It's Easily Accessible
There are lots of different options when it comes to reaching the Blue Lagoon. You can opt for a ferry or water taxi from the main islands of Malta and/or Gozo, but it’s worth noting that these can become very busy. Another option is booking a tour boat – some of these packages will include round-trip transportation, stop-offs at nearby caves, drinks and snacks.
It's A Hikers Dream
You can choose to find a sunny spot on the beach and relax all day long should you wish. But, for the more active among us, the island of Comino is also ideal for walking explorations. Pack your hiking boots and venture away from the crowds to discover hidden parts of the island.

There are some tourist kiosks and stalls on the island itself, and even a hotel, but best to bring euros if you do wish to buy something.

You’re going to want to take a lot of pictures because this place is pretty much paradise, so whatever you do, don’t forget your phone.
Swimwear
It would be rude not to have a dip in those beautifully clear, tranquil waters, wouldn’t it?
Towel
A fluffy towel for after your swim. Unless you fancy drying off under the blissful rays of the sun, of course…
Picnic
Food options on the island are limited, so it’s a sensible (and very romantic) to bring your own offering in the form of a picnic hamper.
