Corinthia St George’s is in an ideal situation with its choice of venues and outdoor areas to host events. And as always, we take your wellbeing and comfort as seriously as we take your business.
When you host your event at La Piazza at Corinthia Hotel St, George’s Bay, you are not only getting an amazing outdoor venue, with the brilliant Mediterranean as a backdrop, sublime food and staff skilled in the art of hospitality but an appetising slice of Maltese history.
A tower has stood on this strategic position from medieval times, rebuilt by the Knights of St John as a look out post in 1638, paid for by the than Grand Master Juan de Lascaris-Castellar.
On 10 June 1898, Napoleon Bonaparte invaded the Island and landed his first troops on this site. Under Queen Victoria, the tower acted as the Fire control station for the Guns at nearby Fort Pembroke. During the first world war, following the Gallipoli Landings, ANZAC troops would sit and enjoy this enticing view, in WW2 the Tower acted as a radio communications post. Today the history we make here is ensuring memorable events for your clients.
Events at Corinthia2020 saw the refurbishment of new suites at the Corinthia St George’s Bay, featuring outstanding panoramic Mediterranean views, private lounge areas and state-of-the-art design.
