- When we last spoke to you, you became Hotel Manager of Corinthia London. How has the past 24 months been?
It has been an extraordinary time, starting at such a difficult point 2 years ago to really going from strength to strength during our recovery. I feel very proud and privileged to have been able to be part of this success story.
- What has been the highlight as Hotel Manager so far?
Do I have to stick with one? We were able to celebrate so many things in the past 2 years, but I think the overall highlight has been rebuilding our team to what it is today. We welcomed so many great people, which is one of the main reasons why I love my job. I also have to mention the recent opening our new cocktail bar, Velvet, which we launched in collaboration with 'the Maestro', Salvatore Calabrese. An amazing project to be part of.
- What does luxury mean to you?
Luxury for me is receiving something you didn’t ask for and didn’t even know you needed, but afterwards never want to live without again.
- What advice would you give to someone who would like to become Hotel Manager?
You have to love what you do, be focused, determined and dedicated.
