Corinthia Hotels appoints Marc Agnew as the new General Manager of Corinthia Prague. Mark, who is originally from Bo´ness village in Scotland, has previously led Panorama Hotel Prague and Corinthia Budapest. Mark is taking over the reins at Corinthia Prague and existing general manager, Eric Pere has moved to Corinthia St Petersburg.
Mark will be responsible for overseeing this award-winning hotel, ensuring guests and colleagues are met with an uplifting and positive environment.
As the leading business hotel in Czech Republic, Mark champions the Corinthia Prague product: “Prague has so much to offer to the international MICE guest and with the Congress Center right next door and the historical Old Town not far away, it’s a winning combination.” With this in mind, it is Mark’s focus to further enhance Prague’s reputation as a leading business destination.
Mark’s 30 years of hospitality experience make him an expert for the job, but no two days are the same: “After working in 12 international hotels in seven different countries I am still fascinated by the industry and I look forward to a different experience every day in the hotel.”
Mark’s hospitality career has mainly taken the route of the food and beverage side, working in roles such as director of catering and F&B director, so he has an appreciation for all aspects of the business: “A very seasoned general manger once told me that if you want to lead people to success in the hotel industry, be sure you understand what they do on a daily basis. You should learn from those around you no matter what their position.”
