A Stylist's Guide: Winter Shopping with Westfield Chodov

This year has been trickier than most, but there is still a joy to be found in buying gifts for your nearest and dearest, and yourself of course. Can you share some of your top gift ideas?
Šárka: My favorite brands are Alo and Intimissimi. For a boyfriend, I would choose clothes such as a stylish sweatshirt from COS or underwear. For mum, a handbag or shoes from Steve Madden make a perfect gift. For my dad, I would buy whiskey glasses from Potten & Pannen.

Tatiana: In my opinion because of this Covid situation, most people appreciate small things with meaning. For girlfriends I think that the best option is a great motivational book, cosy things like blankets, cool luxury pajamas, and for sure cosmetics for my time, face masks, bath oil, etc. For boyfriends: A great book, electronics like AirPods, socks and boxers, cookbooks or workout clothes. For mums: Something creative like craft materials, homemade cosmetics, photo books, or perfume. For dads: A pullover, cologne, a watch, ski clothes, car accessories, electronics, or a set of tools. 

How about the top toy trends for kids?
Šárka: The Lumilus is the top trend for girls and Lego City for boys.

Everyone will be having Christmas a little differently this year, what wellbeing or beauty treats do you recommend to get through it?
Šárka: I would recommend beautifully scented candles and spa cosmetics for a nice atmosphere. I like apple, vanilla, and cinnamon scent. 

Tatiana: Things for relaxation like candles, bath foam, Prosecco, face masks, and products for massages. 

What trends should we be buying for winter clothes this year?
Tatiana: For men, knitwear is a big trend, plus denim and clothes in natural colours like brown, monochrome, and greens, sometimes red. Polo necks, and glasses even if they don’t need them!

For women materials like corduroy, leather, and silk are key, plus lingerie. Colours are more muted like pastel and white. Then for outerwear think down jackets, oversized but cropped, paired with wide pants.

What are you investing in now, that will keep you looking stylish till spring?
Šárka: It would be a women's suit, this trend will continue for even longer. For men, it's the double-breasted jacket.

Tatiana: Leather bags, jackets, scarves.

Are there any brands in particular in the voucher book that you recommend people take a look at?
Šárka: Yes, I would recommend ALOve, Potten & Pannen, Bambule, Ecco, Yankee Candle, Yves Rocher, and Steilmann.
