“Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine.” - Anthony J. D'Angelo
Notorious for a reason, London weather can often throw out all four seasons in one day. However, there are glorious periods throughout the year when the city is at its best; spring can be chilly but also boasts cherry blossom and bursts of beautiful sunshine, and even April showers hold a certain romance. Temperatures can soar in summer bringing a chance to wander in one of many beautiful outside spaces, but short-lived thunderstorms can often follow heat. Autumn really is a season of mist and mellow fruitfulness; as the leaves fall and the nights draw in, walking through the Royal Parks is pure pleasure. Come winter the days are short and it may even snow, even if it rarely settles. Coats are called for as it gets cold, but the longer nights are brightened by the seasonal city lights.
Average temperature in summer is 24°C /75°F, while temperatures in winter average 7°C /32°F.
