The cost of arranging your meeting or your stay at the Corinthia Hotels in Malta is positively impacted by a recent law change: it is now possible to file a refund claim for VAT paid on ‘business-related’ conferences, seminars, conventions, meetings or sales events (e.g., Accommodation, room rental, AV rental, meals including drinks, coffee breaks, gifts, entertainment, internet and telephony charges). If you are a taxable company and not registered for VAT in Malta but established in another country inside or outside UE territory, you may claim input VAT incurred in Malta on your business event, provided that you do not perform any trading activities in Malta.
